I'm David Colón. I live in Málaga, Spain, crafting the future while embracing the present.

Without knowing it I wrote my first lines of code when I was 12 years old, guiding a digital tortoise across a screen using Windows LOGO. I was introduced to programming capabilities as part of a Costa Rican government initiative to create better opportunities for youth. But my real adventure in computing began when my mom, through tremendous sacrifice, brought home our first PC - a Zenith Data Systems running Windows 3.0. At 14, my curiosity led to an expensive lesson when I decided to 'optimize' our precious 32MB hard drive by deleting what I thought were unnecessary files. The computer stopped working after my first attempt at system administration.

The spark of becoming a software developer ignited in high school when I first discovered FoxPro. That spark turned into a flame when I enrolled in Computer Science Engineering in 2000, and by 2004, I was writing code professionally, transforming ideas into reality.

My journey has taken me from Costa Rica to Africa, where I built and sold a successful SMS company that connected people across the continent. I've walked through the halls of both scrappy startups and towering corporations, each experience adding a new dimension to my understanding of technology's impact.

Along the way, I discovered JavaScript in 2014, and it became my trusted companion in creating digital solutions. Its versatility and power have enabled me to bring countless ideas to life, from simple web applications to complex enterprise systems.

Today, you can find me riding the AI revolution to help companies transform their operations. I believe we're living in a golden age for creators - a time when artificial intelligence isn't replacing human ingenuity, but amplifying it. After more than two decades in software engineering, I'm more excited than ever about the possibilities that lie ahead, helping businesses harness the power of AI to automate and innovate.
